AMOG Pty Ltd, Jörss - Blunck – Ordemann GmbH, and sowento GmbH, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on the design and development of floating structures and to provide joint advisory services for the floating offshore wind industry, covering all required engineering disciplines.
The MOU, ceremonially signed at JBO’s head office in Hamburg, marks a significant step forward in the partners’ shared vision to provide comprehensive support across the floating offshore wind sector.
This strategic partnership will bring together AMOG’s deep expertise in offshore engineering, JBO’s bottom-fixed structural foundation design and project management strengths, and sowento’s advanced capabilities in wind technology and floating wind system optimization. By pooling their complementary skills and experience, the three companies aim to deliver innovative and cost-effective floating foundation solutions that meet the demands of the rapidly evolving offshore wind market.
“The joint development of floating structure designs allows us to leverage our collective know-how, leading to cost-effectiveness of FOWT designs through our agnostic view on bottom-fixed and floating technologies, increased reliability, and better value for our clients,” the partners said, in a joint statement. “Our combined advisory services will support project developers with more effective planning, execution, and risk management strategies.”
As the floating offshore wind industry continues to grow, this partnership is set to play a key role in addressing technical and commercial challenges through collaborative design and integrated services.
