OMV has benefited fromAMOG’s SMIC (Smart Marine Integrity Checker) capability deployed for the Raroa FPSO, where being able to monitor fatigue was integral to its life extension strategy.
By utilising existing standard data streams, hashtag#SMIC was able to provide assurance that the stationkeeping of the system met both the company's stringent integrity requirements, as well as those of the classification society. SMIC supported the case for an additional 5 years of production,
which was achieved without the use of any instrumentation directly on the mooring lines.
The team at AMOG worked diligently to undertake assessments of the service history of the vessel and then provisioned a reliable system which includes automated fatigue tracking and continuous mooring integrity monitoring. The SMIC application provides alerts, reports and a dashboard for visualising the data streams and outputs of the integrity assessments.
AMOG's SMIC technology can be deployed on any offshore moored assets and provides rapid indications of anomalous mooring behaviour to allow for immediate response planning - mitigating latent risks to environment, production, and personnel safety.
