Born in Colombia, Alejandro is developing a career as one of the most recognised accompanists, vocal coaches and opera conductors of his generation in South America. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Piano from the Antonio Maria Valencia Conservatory, a Master's Degree in Orchestral Conducting from the National University of Colombia and Postgraduate Sstudies in Piano Perfomance from the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona. Alejandro has collaborated with singers from many countries in Europe, as well the United States, and in South America. He has more han 15 years of experience in opera and zarzuela productions and a repertoire that included more than 40 fully prepared operas, working with conductors like Gustavo Dudamel, Rinaldo Alessandrini, Patrick Fourniller and Josep Caballe, among many others. Currently, Alejandro is a Pianist and Assistant Conductor at Opera de Colombia, Head Vocal Coach and Director of the Opera Workshop at Universidad Central, and Pianist and Musical Assistant for the opera productions at Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santodomingo and Teatro Colón in Bogotá. Recently he made his debut conducting the Colombian National Symphony Orchestra in the production of the zarzuela "Black el Payaso" at the Teatro Colón. He has also conducted the Bogota Symphonic Orchestra (FOSBO) and the Bogota Youth Philarmonich Orchestra.
